Introversion
This is the introvert me. An introvert is a person who feel more comfortable with their own self in their own world. I enjoy spending time with myself and with just one or two people, rather than with large groups. Typically a selective extrovert. Yes, introverts usually have a few extroverted traits. Being an introvert I had to listen a lot from people saying Why do you show so much attitude?? But just because I don’t talk much doesn’t mean I am showing attitude.
According to a study it is shown that introvert are of four types:
Social introverts: These people like small groups and keep themselves away from crowds.
Anxious introverts: They are the people who often feel awkward and shy around people.
Thinking introverts: These people are known to be daydreamers. They always live in their creative imaginations.
Inhibited Introverts: These are the people who think before they act. They take longer time to decide on things.
Myths about Introverts:
One common myth is that introverts are shy. There are some other myths
Introverts are unfriendly: I personally faced this question saying I don’t know the value of friendship, because I don’t have large groups of friends. I do have friends, but people consider the value of friendship lies in just hanging out with friends very frequently.
Introverts can’t be leaders: Introverts also have skills to be a leader. They stay more focused towards their goals.
Its hard to understand an introvert: Introverts prefer to have deep friendships with handful of people. They may not be open up to everyone, but the people with whom they are close with know them very well.
Every person has different personality. Respect their feelings and stop being a stereotype.
